ON STYLEWRITING
An insight into graffiti stylewriting culture — manifesto, philosophy, creed. By Ruediger Glatz, with eight hand-drawn sketches by writers from New York, Hamburg and Berlin.
ON STYLEWRITING — a chat began as a single conversation between a writer with thirty-five years in the culture and an AI. Without a script, it emerged as something rare: a text that articulates what stylewriting truly is. Not a history. Not a photo book. A manifesto, a philosophy, a creed.
The second half pays tribute to the legendary Study of Style format from BACKJUMPS Magazine: eight writers — T-KID, KET, PART 1, WANE, KOMET, CYRUS, NOMADSKI and RUEDIONE — each given the same word, each producing an entirely different language.
For writers who have lived it but never seen it described like this. And for everyone who ever walked past a wall and wondered.
